WELCOME TO CINCINNATI + NKY COVID-19 MATCH

High-Risk Match Program

Cincinnati + NKY COVID-19 Match wants to help neighbors who are at risk of COVID-19. We pair healthy young adults with older adults in the community who need help over the next few weeks. If you are younger than 60 years old with low-risk factors for getting COVID-19, sign up today to be paired with an older adult or high risk community member.

I WANT TO HELP

I am under 60, low-risk, and healthy!

CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP TO HELP

Be a friend. Be a neighbor. Be a helper.

The Greater Cincinnati area is full of loving, compassionate and kind people. During this time of social distancing, many elder and high risk members of your community are going to need assistance getting critical supplies while refraining from being in large public spaces.

It is our hope to match those of you who are under 60, at low-risk for COVID-19, and healthy with elder members and neighbors in your community who are high-risk so that you can support them through this.  You can help your neighbors by picking up groceries or prescriptions, delivering a homemade meal, or simply being intentional about checking in every couple of days.

ABOUT

We are preparing for the potential of a community outbreak of COVID-19 in Greater Cincinnati area by identifying healthy young adults (whose risk factors are low) who are willing to be paired with an elder or an individual who is at high risk in our community in order to coordinate the delivery of essential supplies if/when needed. We also want to encourage regular check-ins with these elders by phone or other electronic means.

This matching program is being organized by private citizens for the benifit of those in our community. For any additional questions, please email cincinnatimatch@gmail.com.

HOW IT WORKS

Here is how the program works in 3 quick steps!

Sign up on this site! If you are an elder or at risk, hop on the form above under "I NEED A MATCH". If you are a young(-ish), healthy, and have no exposures, sign up under that tab above! Then wait, and the system will try to match you up based on location around the city (no guarantees).

GET CONNECTED!

The system will match you up and send you an email of who you are matched with! If, for any reason, you aren't comfortable with how the match worked out, please email us and we can trouble-shoot. Please remember that this is a time-sensitive crisis and is a free service done with community in mind!

BE A NEIGHBOR!

Discuss your needs and concerns during this COVID crisis. If an elder needs groceries or prescriptions or just a friendly voice, be there for them. Most importantly, DO NOT RISK EXPOSURE. If you feel sick or are exposed to the virus, please reach out to the Hamilton County Health Dept and let someone here at The Match know that you or your elder/ high-risk partner need to be re-matched.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

Once a match is made, you and your COVID-19 Match will take complete ownership of the process. The idea behind Cincinnati+ NKY COVID-19 Match is to connect vulnerable people to those who are at low risk for COVID-19 that are willing and able to help in this time of recommended social distancing. When you meet your match what you do and how often you do it is completely up to you.

Some Recommended Ideas:

- Call every couple of days to check in

- Make a homemade card

- Offer to pick up groceries or prescriptions

- Deliver a homemade meal
